The crew of the Seaview embark on a mission to save the planet in VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA.
After giving his creation, a nuclear vessel christened the Seaview, a proper shakedown, Admiral Harriman Nelson (WALTER PIDGEON) and his commanding officer, Captain Lee Crane (ROBERT STERLING) are shocked to discover the sky ablaze. Nelson conceives a plan which could save the planet but not everyone is convinced it will work and begin to question if the Admiral has lost his sanity.
